Ayer veíamos que la profesora británica Gillian Gibbons había sido interrogada durante cinco horas por poner a un osito de peluche por nombre Mahoma. Pues bien, hoy se ha hecho público que ha sido acusada de incitar al odio e insultar a la religión:
A British teacher in Sudan accused of blasphemy for naming a teddy bear Muhammad has been charged with inciting hatred and insulting religion, according to the country's state-run media.
Police arrested Gillian Gibbons in Sudan on Sunday after complaints by parents that she had acted in a way to insult Islam.
A prosecution team in Khartoum "has completed its investigation and has charged the Briton Gillian [Gibbons] under article 125 of the criminal code", the Suna news agency said, quoting a justice ministry official.

Earlier on Wednesday, three British embassy
officials and a teaching colleague from the Unity High School where Gibbons worked were allowed to visit her for more than 90 minutes.
"I can confirm that we have met Ms. Gibbons and she said she is being treated well," said British consul Russell Phillips. "We remain in close contact with the Sudanese authorities on this case," he said, declining to give further details.

BBC: según la BBC también ha sido acusada de mostrar desprecio por las creencias religiosas.
One boy told reporters: "The teacher asked me what I wanted to call the teddy. I said Muhammad. I named it after my name."
Un niño dijo a los periodistas: "La profesora me preguntó cómo quería llamar al osito de peluche. YO dije que Mahoma. Le puse ese nombre porque es como yo me llamo".
Lo mismito mismo que pasó con un chiste, el del Mahoma gato, en Bangladesh, hace pocos meses:
