Resumiendo: En 1977 un periódico informó de que a un burdel, en el que había menores, acudían importantes personajes del Gobierno de Olof Palme y políticos tanto suecos como extranjeros. A pesar de estar basado en un informe que el propio Jefe de Policía había entregado a Olof Palme, el primer ministro prohibió que se publicase negando todo. Sin embargo, la madame sí fue encarcelada.
La semana pasada, dos mujeres de 48 años, que tenían 14 y eran prostitutas en el burdel, han reclamado una millonaria indemnización al Estado sueco porque no se investigaron los delitos y el Gobierno tapó el escándalo.
Cuando en 1977 un periódico sueco desveló que altos cargos del Gobierno de Olof Palme, el icono de los socialdemócratas europeos, frecuentaban un burdel de lujo en Estocolmo donde trabajaban prostitutas menores de edad, el asunto fue desmentido de forma tajante por el propio primer ministro y el periódico fue obligado a rectificar. Hoy, 30 años después, dos mujeres que trabajaron en el local cuando tenían 14 años han pedido una indemnización millonaria al Estado, porque no sólo se evitó que se investigaran los delitos, sino que el Gobierno tapó el asunto para evitar el escándalo.
En mayo de 1976 la Policía sueca detenía a Doris Hopps, la «madame» y jefa del prostíbulo. Los agentes de los servicios secretos suecos Säpo vigilaban el local porque sabían que muchos de los clientes eran políticos y altos cargos del Gobierno, además de conocidos personajes de la élite sueca, y sobre todo importantes «invitados» políticos extranjeros. Según la Policía y los servicios secretos, esto suponía un riesgo para la seguridad del Estado.
El diario «Dagens Nyheter» publicó un artículo en noviembre del 77 donde, entre otros, se acusaba al por entonces ministro de justicia sueco Lennart Geijer de ser uno de los clientes asiduos del local. El diario basaba sus informaciones en un informe del director general de la Policía sueca, Carl Persson, enviado a Palme, quien negó su existencia y acusó al periódico de calumnias.
Ayer, las dos mujeres, que hoy tienen 48 años, presentaron una lista con nombres y apellidos de 70 de sus clientes. Un investigador de la Policía, Ove Sjöstrand, confirmó que al menos una docena de ellos coinciden con los nombres dados por las chicas y que él obtuvo a través de las escuchas telefónicas a la «madame». «Era muy lista y sabía muy bien reconocer las voces. Nunca decía nombres, así que utilizaba palabras clave como ?mamporrero?, ?bobo? y otros» explicó el policía.
Resultado:
- los culpables no fueron a la cárcel.
- Olof Palme continuó siendo el niño bonito de la social democracia europea.
- El periódico tuvo que publicar una rectificación.
- la situación de las menores, ahora mujeres, ni siquiera importaba, ni a los clientes (que eran importantes hombres políticos tanto suecos como extranjeros) ni al Primer Ministro.
- y como colofón, al final es el Estado, léase, los contribuyentes los que tienen que correr con una indemnización producida por la culpabilidad directa, individual e independiente de quienes guiaban la Administración en ese momento.

- And as a final result, the State, that is, the taxpayers, will have to pay for a crime they did not commit, surely they weren´t supporting and weren't aware of and which was the responsibilty of those political men and, in the end, of Olof Palme.
