Copenague: disturbios musulmanes por las caricaturas de Mahoma

Hace escasos cuatro días posteé que habían detenido a cuatro individuos por intentar matar al caricaturista que dibujó a Mahoma con una bomba por turbante. Los periódicos daneses, en solidaridad con Kurt Westergaard, el caricaturista, decidieron publicar de nuevo la foto.

Y los disturbios no se han hecho esperar:

Bands of youths set fire to cars and trash bins overnight in a fourth consecutive night of vandalism mostly in immigrant neighborhoods of the Danish capital, police said.

Seventeen people were arrested, Copenhagen Police spokesman Flemming Steen Munch said, adding police were not sure what sparked the violence.

Some observers said immigrant youths were protesting against perceived police harassment and suggested the reprinting of a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers Wednesday, may have aggravated the situation. (So, what are they after now? Last time was the UN resolution against the "defamation" of religions...).

"They feel provocations and discrimination by the police that stop then now and then to check them," Copenhagen social worker Khalid Al-Subeihi said. "It doesn't make it easier when the cartoons come back again."

The youths set dozens of fires in several districts of Copenhagen, torching cars and trash bins and in some cases hurling rocks at police.

Newspaper Jyllands-Posten said one of its photographers received minor injuries when he was attacked by vandals in the Noerrebro district.

It was not immediately clear whether the attackers knew he was working for Jyllands-Posten, which first printed the 12 cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that sparked massive protests in Muslim countries two years ago. (It was not inmediately clear, and it is not now, because the article does not say anything at all...).

Y después de dos años volver otra vez con las caricaturas está un poco visto... ¿O qué es lo que quieren ahora? La anterior vez fue la resolución de la ONU sobre la prohibición de la difamación de las religiones...).

Los jóvenes prendieron docenas de fuegos en varios distritos de la capital, quemando coches y tirando contenedores y en algunos casos tirando piedras a la policía (y luego protestarán de que los policías les acosen).

El periódico Jyllands-Posten dijo que uno de sus fotógrafos recibió pequeñas heridas cuando fue atacado por vándalos en el distrito de Noerrebro.

No estuvo inmediatamente claro si los atacantes sabían que estaba trabajando para el Jyllands-Posten, el que primero publicó las caricaturas del Profeta Mahoma que dieron lugar a masivas protestas en los países musulmanes hace dos años.

Un bombero intenta apagar un fuego en el colegio elemental Vaerebro que fue incendiado por manifestantes (¡sólo le falta decir "pacíficos") en Vaerloese, norte de Copenague, el 14 de febrero, 2008 (en vez de disfrutar del "calor del amor", porque San Valentín es una fiesta cristiana y, por tanto, haram, disfrutan con el calor del fuego que ellos mismos han prendido... la causa real es que en Copenague estaban los enamorados celebrando San Valentín... Ayy, Dios, qué mal están las cabezas....).

Ah no, el motivo dado según AFP, es que ¡¡¡están aburridos!!!:

"We don't know why they're rioting. I think it's because they're bored. Some people say it's because of the cartoons but that's not my opinion," Chief Inspector Olesen said.

Hale, Abdul, que me estoy aburriendo de ver la tele y de tomar palomitas con birra. Vámonos a quemar escuelas... Y encima seguro que tienen todos asistencia social...

Un coche es incendiado por los manifestantes en una calle en Noerrebro, Copenague, el 13 de Febrero de 1008 (estos se estaban preparando para el día siguiente....). Diecisiete jóvenes fueron arrestados después de cuatro noches de disturbios en varios de los barrios habitados en su mayoría por inmigrantes en Copenague.

Oye, y si están aburridos y tienen tanta energía, ¿qué tal incluirlos en un programa de servicios sociales? Pero de esos importantes: asfaltar carreteras, transportar vigas de construcción... Y sin retribución: así pagan los destrozos.

The riots are spreading fast and are becoming more violent with "carbacues" and attacks on media reporting in the area. Trucks from DR TV and TV2 have been stoned and a photographer from Jyllands-Posten was wrestled to the ground and kicked in the head by half a dozen "youths."

Los disturbios se extienden rápidamente y cada vez son más violentos con "carbacoas" y ataques a los medios que informan desde el lugar (para que no se sepa, ehhh, pillines... ). Jamaat-e-Islami, a right-wing anti-government Islamist party, protested in the Pakistan city of Karachi, had 50 of their members holding banners reading "We strongly condemn the act of insulting the Prophet by the Denmark Press" and "Prime Minister of Denmark and the Pope should apologise to the Muslim community". [The Pope???? What has to do the Danish cartoon affair with the Pope??? Denmark is not even Catholic!!! Oh, I see, the Pope is the leader of the Christians for these @€@#€... Just read something apart from the Koran].

The Danish foreign ministry has advised its nationals to avoid unnecessary travel to Pakistan.

In Kuwait, several parliamentarians called for a boycott of Danish goods, according to Waleed al-Tabtabai, a member of parliament, "The government has to take action against Denmark."

Faisal al-Hajji, Kuwait's deputy prime minister said that they would be making an official complaint, further stating "The sons of dogs published drawings that are offensive to the Prophet." (/ironic mode on/I am profoundly and deep offended by this comment: let's burn a Kuwaiti flag and ask for a boycott of Kuwaiti goods.../ironic mode off/ Now that I think of it, it wouldn't be so bad in the end...).

In Tehran, Iran, there was a peaceful protest outside of the Danish embassy, where the ambassador was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday to receive a formal protest.

Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, had at least 4,000 protesting on Friday against the reprinting of a cartoons, with one Hamas activist shouting through a loudspeaker, "We are all a sacrifice to the Prophet Mohammad, our blood, our property and our families are all a sacrifice to him." (A peaceful guy... a non-violent guy... ).

En Paquistán, los estudiantes islamistas están quemando la bandera danesa y cantando "Muerte al caricaturista".

Jamaat-e-Islami, un partido islamista anti-Gobierno de derechas (y se ha quedado tan agustito...), protestó en la ciudad paquistaní de Karachi, con 50 de sus miembros sosteniendo una pancarta que ponía "Nosotros condenamos fuertemente el acto de insulto del Profeta por la prensa danesa" (y a nosotros nos importa un rábano...) y el "Primer Ministro de Dinamarca y el Papa deben pedir perdón a la comunidad musulmana". (¿¿¿qué demonios tiene que ver el Papa en esta cuestión??? ¡¡¡ Dinamarca ni siquiera es católica!!! serán ANALFABESTIAS).

El Ministerio de Exteriores danés ha aconsejado a sus nacionales que eviten viajar a Paquistán.

En Kuwait, varios parlamentarios pidieron un boicot contra los productos daneses, según Waleed al-Tabtabai, un miembro del parlamento: "El gobierno debe tomar alguna acción contra Dinamarca".

En Teherán, Irán, hubo una protesta pacífica fuera de la embajada danesa, donde el embajador fue llamado por el Ministerio de Exteriores Iraní para que recibiese una protesta formal.

Hamas, en la Franja de Gaza, vio a, al menos, 4000 protestando contra la republicación de las caricaturas con un activista de Hamas chillando por un altavoz "Somos todos un sacrificio al Profeta Mahoma, nuestra sangre, nuestra propiedad y nuestras familias son todo un sacrificio para él".

They had to leave their car at home because the police wanted to create the impression that Kurt and Gitte were still living in the house. The mail was collected, garbage was removed, and an agent who physically resembled Kurt was installed in the house. This was done in case the plotters were to execute their plans to kill Kurt.

Durante los tres últimos meses Kurt y su mujer han estado yendo de una casa a otra. Después a principios de noviembre, tuvieron pocas horas para recoger sus pertenencias más necesarias antes de ser conducidos a un lugar seguro. Tuvieron que dejar su coche en casa porque la policía quería dar la impresión de que Kurt y Gitte estaban todavía viviendo en casa. Su correo era recogido, la basura era sacada y un agente que físicamente se parecía a Kurt fue instalado en la casa. Esta decisión fue tomada por si los islamistas iban a ejecutar sus planes de matar a Kurt.
